Do I have to take out the maintenance package?

No. With us there is explicitly no subscription lock-in, and that matters to us. If you want to handle hosting and maintenance yourself or organize it through a provider you trust, that is completely fine. We then explain what you need to look out for, such as SSL, backups and technical updates.

Many customers book the maintenance package anyway because it is convenient and they do not have to deal with technology and currency themselves. So you have a free choice and can also decide only after the launch. If you are unsure, we advise you openly via the contact form, without pressure.
